Cross Country

Went on trip last June and July from LA to Pennsylvania and back.
I spent no time in LA.  Once I arrived we hit the road and started heading east.
We stopped in Gallup, NM for the night then headed to Albuquerque the next morning.

The southwest is burning.
Lots of Ditches in Albuquerque

Liberal, Kansas
Sights of the Midwest

Kansas City!  Amazing spots, and great bros.  This place was hotter than hell.
Sam McGuire ladies and gentemen, the man, the myth, the legend.

Tony had a hell of a time in the van.
It was sweltering in St. Louis too.  The kind of heat that makes a man stop and think.

The Arch
Sam's Arch
The Dolphin in Indianapolis

Shit got crazy on our way out of Indianapolis.
Intimate living quarters.  Randy looks happy to see me.
We made it to PA, where I got to hang out at Luke's house with these gentlemen.
A man, a Yuengling, and the Lehigh Valley.

Eddie Vedder was there!!!!!
From there, we packed up and headed west again, making our first stop in Pittsburgh.  DK met up with us in the Lehigh Valley.
An hour outside of Pittsburgh near the Ohio/PA border there lives a bro, with a mini-ramp, and a full skatepark in his basement.
Akron, Ohio

4th of July in Cleveland
Hot hand in a dice game.
Lake Erie!!

Cleveland has some spots.
The road back to LA, then off to the airport to head back east.
See you soon.......

Portugal September 2008

Went to Portugal a little over a year ago with Tombo, Took, Falla, and Lim.
When we arrived we had a fantastic meal, then drank some coffee.
We met up with our homie Jose, who is  the best dude in Portugal.  This is the apt. We stayed at in Porto.
My room had a view of a cornfield, and the living room had a view of the ocean.  It was crazy.
Our second day we packed up into this little van and drove all day to the city of Faro, in the south. And then we returned to Porto the following day.
We got there at night, and Falla took a moment to reflect.
Tombo was hyped on the drive.
Lim was in deep thought.
This is Casa de Musica, an amazing spot in Porto

The view from our apt. in Porto
Killin it
A gem of a spot near Porto.
Deeli was on the trip, pleasure to have him on board.  He was full of excitement at this point.

Packing up the van, and on our way to Lisbon.
Took had to mentally prepare himself.
Then it was party time!!!!
Lisbon by night

Most cities in Portugal have mosaic tile sidewalks and cobble stone streets.  Which are amazing looking, but don't lend themselves very well to skating from spot to spot.

the boss
We stayed at a really nice hostel in Lisbon called Lisbon Calling.  Check it out if you're ever out there, nice people, and a nice place.

Hercules packed the van while his mignon Danny Falla was on security.

Limjob almost took her down.

The crowds gathered
As the crew sessioned the local warm-up spot.
The last day it rained and we went to some wine cellars in Porto.

London May 2009

Last May I went to London with Mulhern, Jeb, and Bdugz
We stayed at Rory's place half the time, and Lucien's the other half.
BDugz took an interest in the snails in Rory's garden.
And the snails seemed to take an interest in Rory's shoe.
I fell and split my head opened the first day.  Psyched.

London
This guy skates sometimes
BDugz represented
We ran into some local gangsters at this spot.
We tried to skate this bowl, but there was a little problem.
One day it rained so we went out to a park with Rory's dog.
This is his dog Frayer.  Full of energy.
Farhad, in the woods.
 The master and his beast.
Mulhern, back to nature, in his element.
wind water fire earth
wow

Jeb had a great time in London
We skated a spot while BDugz wandered off only to get beat in a game of basketball by some Lithuanians.  Jersey was taken to the cleaners that day.
Jin killed it.
Fish and Chips, along with other assorted fried foods.
We went to the Blob lands and it rained once we got off the train.  As you can see BDugz was hyped.
Almost as hyped as these kids.
If you haven't heard, Dugz can do switch back tails really well.

And Jeb can do this even better.
This is a scary one.

Good bye London

Berlin June 2009

Went to Berlin last June with The Hern and TheIllWill@hotmail.com
There they are!!

Mark Nickels was friendly enough to show us around for a few days
The Blueprint guys happened to be in town at the same time as well
And Deeli! We had a hell of a crew for the week
We stayed at this crazy hostel called generator.  It was a little outside the center of town.  The place was about 15 stories high, and filled with 18 year old back-backers fulfilling their euro-trip dreams follwing their highschool graduations.  Needless to say, we fit right in.
If you end up there, you might find yourself having the worst breakfast of your life in these very seats.
The sights of Berlin:  Remains of the wall
The Holocaust Memorial

Lots of skate spots

Ill Will gets nosey
Will and the bros rigged up this cool little spot

Street Meat!
Will and McGee have an interesting relationship
Mulhern couldn't put the bottle down the entire trip.
We found an American clothing store in Berlin

Hollywood Hern

The Hern loves to see how the Dunkin Donuts abroad compare to the ones he has grown to love in Philly
I sat in front of this cathedral with Mulhern for 3 hours in the cold and rain so he could get just as artsy  as he wanted to.
Then I returned to NYC, only to find this frog, Ben Chadourne sleeping in my bed.  Good stuff.

Bordeaux with Mr. Dulout

Our good friend Guillame Dulout and his girlfriend Emanuel were kind enough to put a big crew of us up in their apartment in Bordeaux for a few weeks.
Luidgi and Falla in front of their apartment.
Our typical morning routine was to get coffee and sandwiches at this Boulangerie near Guillame's apt.
And from there, we would hit the streets.  Here we have Tombo gracefully skating like a young Nancy Kerrigan
Part of our crew for the trip.  The Bordeaux skate scene is alive and well!
Lima to Bordeaux
Ben Chadourne rides a scooter, and occasionally rides that weird thing by his feet.

Guillame took us around to some spots the first day, and every other day to follow.
The city looked amazing by night.

We would always pass through this crazy carnival right by the river.  The Ferris Wheel was a sight to see at night.
This is a stone's through from Guillame's apartment.
